Hardware

  • Macbook Air M1- Work laptop which is quite the bang for the buck
  • IPhone 13 Pro- Bought it for the LIDAR/Zoom lens and tbh dont regret it despite being expensive. Dont buy it from india ;)
  • Galaxy buds pro - Cheapest pair of decent noise cancelling earphones I could find.
  • Nexstand - Decent laptop stand at that price point
  • All new Kindle - Decent for light reads here and there

Software

  • Laptop

    • Amethyst - A tiling window manager for mac that doesnt suck
    • 1Password - This password manager just blends in with the macos
    • Arc - Trying it out
    • Cron - Good Desktop client for a calender
    • Emacs- The best programming environment out there, use it mostly for small side projects
    • VSCode - Primary text editor
    • WireGaurd - Fairly good client for connecting to my VPN
    • Obsidian - Primary note taking application
  • Phone

    • nPerf - To check for interenet coverage
    • WireGaurd - Fairly good client for connecting to my VPN
    • Measure - Love this app! Quite helpful in a lot of scenarios without running for a measuring tape while being fairly accurate.
    • Cron - Trying the new mobile version
    • Github - Decent for review issues, PRs but not that great browsing.
    • Magicplan - Good app for creating/view floorplans. Extremely useful while analysing/comparing different houses
    • Obsidian - Decent mobile client
    • Notion - Bad UX, but still required in shared knowledge bases.
    • HackerFeed - Amazing hackernews reader! Just love it.
    • 1Password- Decent password manager with a great UI
    • Snipd - Started using this to listen to podcasts it creates snips(short sections with relevent info) from the podcasts. Lovin it so far.
    • Strava - For tracking steps and miles
    • Matter - A meta reader, trying to see if it fits my bill
    • Goodreads - Mostly use it on the phone to see what others are reading
    • Spotify - Use it for UX/Discoverability of songs
